How to Find Disney Items - Besides the Parks and Disney Store By Jessica Mele

If you are a very big fan of Disney as I am, you probably have a few more things with their characters or their parks in your home. You might have some memories that you've taken the last time you were in Orlando (or Anaheim) has visited the parks. You can go to the Disney Store often when you go to the mall to see what new items they have. But let's face it. Between their stores and parks (you can only visit during your vacation), it does not seem to have many choices on the merchandise you can get.

If you're really into everything Disney, or even just as a specific character, I have very good news for you. You can get items at Disney over 165 stores. Really. Not only that, but you can get almost anything you can think of that has nothing to do with parks, characters, movies, and more.

Do not believe me? Well, I'm sure you know you can get Disney clothing, games, movies, posters, toys, etc. ... It's true and you can find them at many places. But you can also get more interesting objects, such as borders for a child's room or a shower curtain with your favorite character on it. You can even get lights and carpet with your favorite characters on them.

The next question is - where can you buy these items? The question is more like, you can not find these items? When you think of Disney merchandise, you might think that the Disney store, but most stores sell these types of items. To name a few, Macy's, Kmart, Target and Wal-Mart all carry elements that are your favorite characters on them.

What's even cooler is that there are specialty stores that sell these items as well. For example, there are shops that sell only rugs, and they have selections of carpet with both characters on them, and others that are signed by the Walt Disney Company, but they are more sophisticated. There are stores that sell stationary, and they have a selection of fixed labels, and invitations with your favorite characters on them. There are even stores that sell Disney checks!

So how do you easily stores that sell Disney items? Well, here's a list to get you started with over 165 stores, and the list grows daily.

  1. Among my most cherished childhood memories were the birthday parties. My mom always threw great ones and they always revolved around a theme. Because my birthday is in October, many of my parties had a Halloween theme – with haunted houses, dry ice in the punch, bags filled with guts (spaghetti), eyeballs (grapes), and a tongue (cow’s tongue) for guests to touch, costume contests, spooky music, games, food, etc.
